As the second youngest of six siblings, Jeff’s early life was shaped by first hand experiences with economic challenges and social barriers. These formative years ignited his unwavering passion to support families, children, and residents in Philadelphia’s 8th District, empowering them to overcome obstacles and thrive.
Humble Beginnings and Entrepreneurial Spirit
Jeff’s journey started modestly with his first job at Dunkin’ Donuts located at Broad and Olney. From those roots, he cultivated an entrepreneurial mindset and launched his own consulting agency, GDA Consulting. Through this venture, Jeff assists small businesses and entrepreneurs to enhance productivity, boost performance, and maximize profitability—creating pathways for sustainable success in competitive markets.
Advocate for Youth Empowerment and Criminal Justice Reform
As the founder of Greater Days Ahead, a mentoring program designed to empower youth and nurture positive growth, Jeff has made a significant impact on Philadelphia’s younger generations. His collaborations with organizations such as JustLeadership USA and BMe Communities amplify marginalized voices and advance criminal justice reform. Notably, his directorship at the United Communities Substance Prevention Coalition led to measurable decreases in crime and substance misuse, underscoring his effective community-driven approach.
Champion of Infrastructure and Housing Initiatives
Jeff played a pivotal role in organizing community efforts that resulted in the development of a $3.5 million state-of-the-art athletic field in Northwest Philadelphia—an essential recreational space supporting the health and well-being of local youth and residents. His advocacy extends to affordable housing, where he champions initiatives aimed at revitalizing homes and combating displacement from gentrification, striving to ensure that all residents have access to safe, stable housing.
Recognitions and Educational Achievements
Jeff’s expertise is backed by certification as a Social Impact Strategist from the University of Pennsylvania. His dedication has earned him prestigious accolades including the Gold Volunteer Service Award from the White House and the Outstanding Fellow Award from Southeastern Pennsylvania United Way. Additionally, he served as Vice President of Education for his local Toastmasters International chapter and is the producer of the award-winning Community Voice PHL Talk Show, broadcasting on 106.5FM and available on Apple podcast.

Safety remains a cornerstone of Jeff’s work; he has led protests and rallies advocating for safety and violence reduction in neighborhoods. His commitment to quality education is evident through his efforts to improve Philadelphia school facilities by requesting to establish a School Building Inspection Committee and pushing for better resources for students and educators. Moreover, he supports career certification training programs and advocates for rent control policies to promote equitable economic opportunities and community stability.
